Pool, Pool Deck And Pool Bathroom
As the pool decking area was completed on this home prior to purchasing, the pool and pool deck is slightly smaller than those of our Heritage Harbour homes, which were custom built after purchasing. This home features a total pool area of 50 ft 3 inch x 29 ft x 18 ft 8 inch, with a 27 ft 9 inch kidney shaped private heated salt water pool which is south west facing. A pool blanket is provided on a roller to help keep the heat in the pool, especially during the winter months and also when pool heating is specifically requested / paid for by our guests. Pool heating is recommended for pools during the months of October to April. However, this is entirely up to our guests as this service is in addition to the property rental rate. The pool deck has a covered lanai where you will find the patio table and eight chairs. The pool deck is also equipped with four sun-loungers which are ideal for sunbathers and the pool screening helps protect the area from leaves, insects etc. For added security around the pool there is a child safety barrier. The rear of the property has two exists from which guests can exit onto the pool deck. These are: the main open plan family room and the pool bathroom. The pool bathroom has a walk-in shower, therefore making it the ideal bathroom to use after enjoying a dip or swim in the pool. Pool towels can be located in the linen cupboard for guests use whilst out on the pool deck area. From the rear of the property guests can look out over the preserve / wooded area, which is very peaceful and tranquil. It has been known for guests to have caught glimpses of various wildlife. Guests will enjoy the peace and quiet from the rear, as the property is not overlooked by any other home / other property pool areas. Information Regarding Salt Water Pool
The benefits of a salt water pool over a traditional chlorine pool are really in the water management. However as it is salt rather than chlorine, it does eliminate some of the side effects that are sometimes experienced in chlorine pools such as, red irritated eyes, dry itchy skin, bleached bathing suits or green hair. The pool is classed “Salt Water” because instead of using chlorine it uses salt to clean the water, the water passes over the salt and this extracts the natural chlorine that is in salt to keep the pool sterile. However the water is much softer because of this. A chlorine pool is made up of a two chemical combination that is normally topped up every week and the PH needs to be balanced. Chlorine may cause problems especially for some children and can cause problems with eyes getting sore. The other issue is that the pool evaporates over time and needs re-filling, however this then weakens the chlorine rate and the pool is less sterile and the PH balance changes, this can lead to ear infections etc. A salt water pool works in a totally different way, salt contains a natural chlorine content and this is released naturally as the water passes over the salt. This is a natural balance and the PH is balanced at all times due to this being a non chemical reaction, the water is also softer and not as harsh on children. The property owner has two young children and considered all the above aspects before choosing the type of pool to purchase for the property and felt that a “Salt Water Pool” was the best way to have a naturally balanced water system that will not be harmful to children. The water does not taste of salt and this is totally different to sea water and how harsh that can be. |
